Program Overview

The course will be taught using a combination of in-person theoretical and practical workshops and online instruction. In a blended learning model, this will be taught across three days a week. Sessions of theory and practice will be held in the new Waterfront campus in Swansea.

The program team will collaborate with students and industry partners to give them the chance to obtain work experience in a university setting or in a real industrial setting.

  • Applied Analytics (10 credits; compulsory)

  • Computer Systems Fundamentals (10 credits; compulsory)

  • Cyber Security Essentials (10 credits; compulsory)

  • Digital Technologies (10 credits; compulsory)

  • Integrating Project (20 credits; compulsory)

  • Skills Development in the Workplace (30 credits; compulsory)

  • Software and Apps for Business (10 credits; compulsory)

  • Technical Skills Development (20 credits; compulsory).

What You'll Go On To Do

Each module in the CertHE programmes focuses on developing key employability skills like communication, workplace etiquette, creative problem-solving, teamwork, and practical abilities.

Upon completing the CertHE in Digital Skills, there are progression options into full-time (Hons) degrees in areas like Computing (Software Engineering) and Computing (Cloud Software Development). Additionally, students who secure relevant employment may apply for a Higher or Degree Apprenticeship.
